Pattern difficulty
The Alma Dress is one of our most beginner-friendly patterns, with simple construction and a relaxed, adjustable fit. There are no zippers or other closures. Optional inseam pockets are included for those looking to add functionality and try a new technique.

Fabric recommendations
The Alma Dress is designed for lightweight to midweight woven fabrics that offer softness and drape while maintaining enough structure. Ideal choices include linen, cotton, block prints, and lightweight wool.

Fabric usage
The cutting layout is based on fabric 140 cm (55 inch) wide. The pieces are arranged efficiently to minimize waste, but we recommend buying a little extra fabric to account for shrinkage, print alignment, or cutting adjustments.

Metric EU34 - EU54:
Dress: 2.49 m - 3.42 m

Imperial US2/4 - US24:
Dress: 2.73 yd - 3.74 yd
